Gerry Grant born in Birmingham, Al first realize he had talent at the age of 7 writing and singing his first songs. Doing that time he was ask to sing in front of his teacher, and 2nd grade classmates. Inspired by his mother Lola Grant a professional singer, who sung with Betty Everett, Dee Brown. Lola toured with Sam Cook, Stevie Wonder and many others. She also toured with the Temptations. Her cousin Dennis Edwards was also a member. Doing his time in high school Gerry Competed in various talent shows, at Woodlawn High school, and around the city of Birmingham, Al winning several awards including the most talented award given to the first place winner, which he won in 1976. Voted the most talented senior by his classmates in 1977. Gerry Grant begin to excel as a singer and musican. chosen as one of the cities top Trombone Players in Birmingham, as well as the state of Alabama. Gerry Grant received several scholarship awards in music to Alabama A&M , Tennessee State and Selma University. Gerry Grant chose to attend Selma University in 1978 where he major in music and minor in religion, and business. Gerry Grant except his calling in ministry at the age of 23. In 1983 Minister Grant formed a group call the "Truebelievers", recording songs like Living In The Last Days, and Saved By His Grace. Singing and managing the group. The True Believers placed him in the professional arena. Singing and appearing with gospel greats like Al Green, Beau Williams and The Canton Spirituals. Minister Grants music begin to soared to the national level. He appeared in the Gospel USA Magazine in Miami , Gospel Synergy Magazine in Chicago, and many other various newspapers and magazines. Gerry Grant made several TV appearances on TBN, GTV, and Fox 6 The Country boy Eddie show, a very popular morning show throughout the south. In 1992 Minister Grant, Pastor Rising Harvest Church in Lake Providance Louisiana. Afterwards, being inspired to record another album. Minister Grant returned to the studio and recorded the song We've Got To Believe, produced by Steve Davis for ESLD Production located in Birmingham, Al. We've Got To Believe became one of the biggest hits he has recorded. The message in that song touch many lives around the world, and in the music industry, inspiring other artist to record the same message. In 1999 Minister Grant establish the Gerry Grant Ministries Inc. Doing that time he travel many places in the US teaching and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2003 Minister Gerry Grant returned back to the studio and release the cd Jesus Has Kept Me. which was previously released in 1984 from the album (Saved By His Grace), with his group Minister Gerry Grant and the Truebelievers. The Jesus Has Kept me cd made #1 on several gospel charts around the US. Min Grant later toured in Freeport, Bahamas, where he appeared in 2006 with Derek Stubbs,Ron Winans,Rev Timothy Wright, Candi Station, Shirley McNeil and the Gospel Singers of Faith from North Carolina, and many others. Later In 2009 Gerry Grant released his christmas single, OHoly Night, which Played nationally and internationally. Minister Grants long stance in the gospel industry from being President of SGR Records, (Daniel Peterman founder). Too Radio, Tv, community leader and International Ministry is really a true testament to his faith. This is just the beginning! On January 8th 2012 Minister Grant was ordained to the ministry of Bishopric, under the Way Of The Lord Worldwide Crusade Church, and the leadership of Bishop Joseph Mathews. Doing which time He and his wife Elder Saunja Grant were Asst Pastors. In 2013 Bishop Gerry and his wife Elder Saunja Grant establish Cofwc church. Their first service begin in march that year on a Easter sunday. In 2014 Bishop Gerry and Elder estabish the FFH conferences from the church in Birmingham, Al. Fire From Heaven (FFH) conferences, is a three day event with six different speakers, three day time speakers, and three evening speakers. 2021 Bishop Grant return to the studio once again with the album title 'Now', which is currently in stores and all social media platforms, and radio stations, across the internet. In 2022 he release yet another project "Personal Experience" a beautiful list of songs which includes the song "Saunja' which was written about his late wife Elder Saunja Darcell Grant who past away april 27th 2023. Currently Bishop Grant has release over 90 Spiritual Thought podcasts, which or on several podcast platforms across the internet. Bishop Grant serves as 2nd administrator asstistant for World Fellowship Of Network Churches (Wfnc), located in Jackson, Miss. Founder and Presiding Prelate Bishop Adam Sanders. Bishop Gerry Grant is a musical sensation, who is always writting and teaching God's word on a consistent basis. Appearing on today's zoom networks, and conference calls, throughout the U.S and the World. Also being asked to speak, sing, produce, and appear on several radio, and Tv programs consistently. Bishop Grants new Album Gerry Grant ("From The Heart ") 2026 is his latest recordings, and is schedule to be release in the spring of next year. The Best Of Gerry Grant "From Then To Now" has just been released Febuary 9th, and is now on many of the online stores. As his journey continues.
